LESSONS

Junior & Adult Level Definitions
Beginner - A player who has played little or no tennis
Beginner 2 - A player who has progressed from beginner lessons or has minimal experience
Intermediate - A player who has developed a game style and is comfortable with match play

Advanced (Junior only) – A player who has developed the skills to a tournament level

LEAGUES

Junior Team Tennis

This program is for players 11 years and over who play at an Intermediate or Advanced level. Players receive a League T-shirt and prizes are awarded to the winning team each session

Adult Doubles League

This program is for low-intermediate to intermediate players (comfortable playing doubles matches).
Players can join with a regular partner or they are assigned a partner.  Matches are scheduled weekly with a supervising coach and balls supplied.  The final week will be a playoff match with prizes for the winning teams.

CAMPS

Camp Outline

  • Each camper receives a camp T-shirt.
  • Every Friday is tournament day where each camper receives a Prize and has a Pizza lunch
  • At least 70% of camp hours are spent on tennis fundamentals and game situations
  • Cross-training includes: Soccer, Baseball, Indoor Swimming (TBA)
  • Regular breaks are provided throughout the day
  • Full day campers are to provide their own lunch / Half-day campers can bring snacks (peanut free)
  • Rainy day programming is held indoors at the Aurora Community Centre or a comparable facility

This full week (half day or full day) tennis camp is designed to introduce and develop all aspects of the camper’s tennis game.  The goal is to have each camper participating in the Fun tournament on Friday, where players are playing tennis matches with full rules.  The campers receive instruction and enjoy game situations for at least 70% of  each day.   The campers spend time each day cross training at soccer or baseball or swimming (TBA).
